| Technical wreck diving
is an extremely adventurous activity which of course requires
high level of skills, knowledge, many years of experience and
mastering technical diving equipment.
Unreasonable excess of deep limits, as well as penetrations of
the ship wrecks without necessary adequate experience and corresponding
equipment represents unnecessary live hazards. Many beginners
have already paid for such silly matters (often even not being
aware of the facts) the highest price.
Should you be attracted by the wreck diving, do not hesitate to
get more knowledge and practice. There is a rather long way ahead
of you, but a reward is prepared for you: experiences of outmost
uniqueness. Until you have fully mastered technical diving equipment,
the ways of scheduling and applications of mixed-gas breathing
in the course of one dive, you will have no chance of perfect
understanding of the problems connected with the issues such as:
deep intoxication, decompression theory, accelerated decompression,
oxygen exposure and toxicity, and until you have gained enough
experience, just stay away from technical wreck diving.
The very basic qualification necessary for wreck diving is an
advanced qualification course passed in one of the worldwide acknowledged
educational and training systems (for example, PADI
AOWD). Should you be attracted by the wreck diving so much
that you are going to devote yourselves to shipwrecks in details
and penetrate them, you should be in possession of specialized
qualification and corresponding training (for example, PADI
specialization of Wreck Diver). This training will make you
acquainted not only in theory, but especially in practice with
all the dangers possible and with complete standard procedures.
At the same time, you will learn to use the specialized equipment
necessary for safe penetration of wrecks. It is necessary to realize
that there are especially 4 diving areas, which require special
training, equipment and experience. They are the areas, where
the diver is without a direct access to the surface:
Wreck Diving
Ice Diving
Cave Diving
Decompression Diving
The technical diving may simply be characterized as diving in
which divers should have a significantly more extensive equipment,
practice mixed-gas breathing in the course of one dive, move in
deeper areas, and mostly without any direct access to the surface.
Before the recreational divers develop into technical divers,
they have to go through many courses and hundreds of dives. Generally,
the Enriched Air Nitrox Courses can be considered
to represent a certain connection between recreational and technical
diving. Applicants for technical diving can pass according to
their experience and current qualification the following courses:
Technical Apprentice Diver - Tec
Diver level 1
Technical Deep Diver
Technical Trimix Diver
Technical Driver with Closed or Semi-Closed Circuit
You have an opportunity
of passing the advanced diving courses at the
Kapr Divers
- PADI 5Star Dive Center 3698
PADI AOWD Course – Advanced Diver
By passing the advanced course, the divers at basic level become
more experienced divers in entertaining and attractive ways. Their
new qualification of experienced divers gives them an authorization
of diving deeper than 18 m, night diving, or diving to wrecks
of ships that went down. The course consists of five separate
diving schemes, out of which two are obligatory and three others
optional. Each of them will be in details dealt with in the classroom
theory and accompanied with practical training dives.
Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation are obligatory parts of
the AOWD course.
As for the optional part, the participants can choose the dives
according to their interests and conditions of the site. Night
Dive, Wreck Diving, Multilevel Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy
but as well as Dive in Dry Suits, Underwater Naturalist or Underwater
Photographer.
Minimum participation prerequisites: age: 12 let, qualification:
PADI OWD or equivalent from another training system.
If your age is between 12 and 15 years, after completing the course
you will get the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver qualification.
Wreck Diving Course
This course is especially for those, who are fascinated by wrecks
of sunken ships and who would like to get further than to the
optional Wreck Dive which makes part of AOWD courses.
The main objective is to make the participants familiar with the
techniques of planning and performing of safe dives enabling the
penetration of wrecks of sunken ships.
Wreck Diving makes more demands on divers, because as it is the
case with the Ice Diving, there will be no direct access to the
surface. The theory of this specialized course will provide knowledge
of any specific matter in connection with planning of safe wreck
dives with the option of the wreck penetration.
Practical procedures will be trained during 4 training dives.
Minimum participation prerequisites: age 15 years, qualification:
PADI AOWD, or equivalent from another training system.
Enriched Air Nitrox Diving Course
In the specialized Nitrox course – diving with enriched air, you
will learn all the essential theory and get the experience in
diving using the EANx mix with the oxygen content of 22% to 40%.
In comparison with air diving, using Nitrox will greatly increase
the amount of time of the no decompression limits. The theory
in the lessons will ensure that you have all appropriate knowledge
concerning the benefits and demands in connection with breathing
the EANx under water. The theory will be completed by passing
a written test.
The participants will have an opportunity of practical experience
of their acquired knowledge and skills in the course of two training
EANx dives.
Minimum participation prerequisites: age 15 years, qualification:
PADI OWD + 10 dives outside the training, or the PADI AOWD qualification,
or equivalent from another training system.
Apprentice Tec Diver
The instruction of the DSAT Tec Diver course on that level includes
planning and performance of dives with technical equipment in
no decompression procedures to a depth of 40 meters. The participants
will improve their knowledge and skills, they will learn how to
use standard technical equipment to be allowed to conduct dives
with gas switch under water. The key objective of this course
is to understand the risks and minimize the chance of any accident
during extremely demanding dives. The course consists of four
separate lessons of decompression theory, kit, planning of gas
consumption and technical diving standard procedures and emergencies.
The theoretical part of the course will be completed with a written
test.
In the course of 7 dives, the participants will thoroughly learn
technical equipment and they will be proceeding from simple skills
to the more complicated ones and from the shallow to deeper water.
After passing this course, the divers will be able of perfect
conduct of standard skills, such as keeping the neutral buoyancy
when handling more cylinders and they will be able to find solutions
to emergencies.
After passing the course and meeting all entry requirements, the
Tec Diver course Level 1 graduates are credited towards the DSAT
Tec Deep Diver course and they can complete the Tec Deep Diver
course with two lessons of theory, five dives and a test.
Minimum participation prerequisites:
age: 18 let
qualification: PADI AOWD, EANx
and acknowledged experience of deep dives (or Deep Diver), or
equivalents from other training systems, 50 logged dives, with
at least 10 of them on Nitrox, 12 in the depths of more than 18
m a 6 in the depth of more than 30 m.
Tec Deep Diver Course
The DSAT Tec Deep Diver course instruction includes planning and
conducting of no decompression, compression and accelerated decompression
diving techniques to the depths not exceeding 50 meters. The participants
will improve their knowledge and skills, and learn to use the
standard technical equipment to be allowed to conduct gas-switch
dives under water. The key objective of the course is to understand
the hazards and risks and to minimize any potential accidents
involved in extremely demanding technical diving. The course consists
of six separate lessons of theory covering decompression theory,
kit, planning of the gas consumption, technical diving standard
procedures and emergencies. The theoretical part of the course
will be completed with a written test. In the course of 12 dives,
the divers will acquire detailed understanding of technical equipment
and they will proceed from simple skills to the more complicated
ones, and from shallow to deep water.
In addition to the mastery of common skills, such as for example
keeping neutral buoyancy when handling more cylinders, the course
graduates will be able to find solutions to emergencies as well.
Minimum participation prerequisites:
age 18 let
qualification: PADI AOWD, RD,
EANx a acknowledged experience of deep dives
(or Deep Diver), or equivalents from other training systems, 100
logged dives, out of which 20 dives on Nitrox, 25 dives deeper
than 18 meters and 15 dive deeper than 30 meters. First Aid Course
(including the CPR) completed in the last two years.
